Emily & Will - Frankford hall Philadelphia

I know the bride, Emily, from the days when we were covering stories for Lonely Planet. She was writing and I was shooting. When asking Emily about our new travel story, she replied that there is a personal story I could cover: her wedding.

This was my first wedding in the States and I couldn't wish for more. Emily’s and Will’s friends came literally from all around the world. There was a strong feeling of love and appreciation in the air. Special thanks to the parents, who made me feel very welcome from the first minute.

Emily and Will met and lived in Berlin, and Frankford Hall — with their fine selection of German beers and food — was the right fit for their wedding venue. Flowers from Tammi Shipley of Shipley Enterprises beautifully enhanced the industrial look of the hall.

The weather forecast indicated thunderstorms, but luckily the wedding party was spared and the ceremony took place open air in the courtyard. Emily's mom prepared a surprise in form of hidden singers and musicians to essentially recreate the wedding scene in Emily and Will's favorite movie, Love Actually.

After a delicious dinner, the party started immediately and hard, leaving not a single shirt dry.

Aa a bonus, we had the luck to welcome wedding crashers — who after being asked how they know the bride and groom, just said, “We have to see friends” and left the party :-)

I want to thank Emily and Will for this beautiful adventure, their family for the warm welcome and friends for the great party.

Emily and Will, I am so glad that you have found each other. Your love is pure, unselfish and goofy. Keep it that way and I hope we can see each other more once you are in Germany.

“The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it.” – Ansel Adams Hi, I am glad you have found way to my website and probably we can connect one day. Let me start. I am an international wedding and event photographer. I am 40 years old and for the last 15 years I have lived in Vienna. I have a very tolerant wife that supported me in my dream since the very beginning and a great son Oli. After spending several years in the banking industry, I realized that office job does not fulfill me anymore and picked up my old love photography. I am very happy to earn my bread with job I love and I am passionate about. Photography also tought me that dreams can become true if you really want it and work hard for it. My favorite motive are people with their vast array of characters. I love emotions, both positive and negative. Taking pictures is one way to express them. Seeing the joy in the eyes of people photographed, once they see their pictures, is very satisfying. I like neverending hikes and I like to observe. Observe the world wihout judgements, and I like meeting people other then me. I think that world and and people around me are the most thhrilling movie I could ever watch. And now tell me sth. about you… (redirect to contact form)
