Marina & Uli | Kesselhaus Kolbermoor

When my heart melts, and only the NSA knows…

There couldn't be a better end of the 2019 wedding season, as the wedding of Marina and Uli in Kesselhaus Kolbermoor. It was already the 4th wedding of the "Munich troop". It felt like old friends coming together again. I like these Bayern guys, they are open, always ready for a joke (e.g. golf car racing around the hotel) and party like there is no tmr.

When inner and outer beauty comes together in one couple, it is a pure joy to photograph. Marina and Uli are such a nice people. The whole wedding day was covered with their feeling of harmony and love.

Preparations took place in the B&O Hotel, which was previously a US military station. In the close vicinity you can still observe giant "golf balls" of the NSA (National Security Agency) satellites. I was eager to do the couple shoot there, but found out that taking photos is prohibited under fine of 5000 EUR :-( Anyway if you are around Bad Aibling check these cosmic cold war monuments.

Party was moved to the old boiler house of the old spinning factory. Beautifully renovated it is now a great wedding location. The iconic russian vehicle Moskvich was a perfect accessories for this industrial-urban wedding. I really like how the old industrial buildings are keeping their spirit and are changed to chic cultural hubs in Germany.

But now, warm up your fingers and scroll down through this wedding story.

“The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it.” – Ansel Adams Hi, I am glad you have found way to my website and probably we can connect one day. Let me start. I am an international wedding and event photographer. I am 40 years old and for the last 15 years I have lived in Vienna. I have a very tolerant wife that supported me in my dream since the very beginning and a great son Oli. After spending several years in the banking industry, I realized that office job does not fulfill me anymore and picked up my old love photography. I am very happy to earn my bread with job I love and I am passionate about. Photography also tought me that dreams can become true if you really want it and work hard for it. My favorite motive are people with their vast array of characters. I love emotions, both positive and negative. Taking pictures is one way to express them. Seeing the joy in the eyes of people photographed, once they see their pictures, is very satisfying. I like neverending hikes and I like to observe. Observe the world wihout judgements, and I like meeting people other then me. I think that world and and people around me are the most thhrilling movie I could ever watch. And now tell me sth. about you… (redirect to contact form)
